Work on restyling of the new restaurant started after the completion of the meticulous restoration of the entire hotel, to give great importance and great emphasis to “Vivendo”, a new address and a new direction in a city that now shines again. Today “Vivendo” makes its mark on dining in the capital, just as the hotel did on hospitality and accommodation. The restaurant “Vivendo” gained the Gold Key Award for excellence in design, and right after it has been included in the Zagat guide “Europe’s Top Restaurants” as number one in Rome for the quality of food and service and received important awards from the celebrated Italian gastronomic guides “Gambero Rosso” and L’Espresso.

The restaurant now provides a sophisticated environment with a contemporary atmosphere. The furniture recalls the 30’s and 40’s style, offering an informal but refined environment, well balanced with the St. Regis Grand Hotel, where it is located. Seventy places, an intimate room for 14 guests, the “Champagnerie”, lighting designed to help the diners relax, but at the same time to emphasise the works of culinary art offering products typical of the area combined with intense fragrances and aromas.

The wine list is selected by Federico Galligani, the Restaurant Manager and enthusiastic sommelier. It offers 600 labels, of which more than half belong to the great oenological tradition and newly emerging Italian wineries. The bottles are stored in the “di…Vino”, a real innovation in the catering world, a cellar where one can taste a selected wine in complete tranquillity and dine in a distinctive environment. Vivendo and “di…Vino” periodically organize oenological and gastronomic appointments to offer the opportunity of tasting very high quality wines, in collaboration with international producers and oenologists. In this way the St. Regis Grand Hotel opens its doors to be “the Roman people’s salon”. A very special menu created by the Chef in combination with the wines presented, close these appointments in the particular atmosphere of the restaurant Vivendo.
